Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Tax Assistant, Sub Inspector Jobs 2017
Educational Qualification: (As on 1st August, 2017)
  1. i) Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:
  2. a) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute b) Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics. Note: During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
  3. ii) Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level: OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
 iii) All other Posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Note:  The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.
Age Limit: (As on 1st August, 2017)
Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1, 2, 4, 10, 12, 13, 17, 20, 22 - 30 Years), (For Post 23 - 32 Years), Age in Between (For Post 3, 5, 6, 7, 18 31 - 20 to 30), (For All Other Posts - 18 to 27 Years). Selection Procedure for IOF Industrial Employees Semi Skilled
Selection Procedure:
  1. a) Selection process shall comprise of a 2 stage process:
- Written examination of 100 marks, objective type and OMR based
- Trade Test (Practical) at respective factory along with document verification
  1. b) On the basis of merit list based on marks obtained in written test, candidates 1.25 times the number of vacancies shall be called for Trade Test (Practical).
  2. c) The Trade Test (Practical) shall be only qualifying in nature, without any marks. However, those candidates who do not qualify in the Trade Test shall not be considered at all, irrespective of marks obtained in the written examination.
  3. d) The credentials (as submitted in the application) of the candidates called for the trade test (Practical) will be verified with the original documents at the time of Trade Test at the respective factory.
  4. e) The final merit/select list shall be based on marks obtained in the written test only, subject to document verification and qualifying the Trade Test.
  5. f) The final merit/select list thus prepared factory wise will be published at www.ofb.gov.in.
